Haverford College Collection of Classical Antiquities

Included in this collection are some 25 vases and other Classical antiquities from as early as mid-fourteenth century B.C. donated by George and Ernest Allen, class of 1941 and artifacts from a dig in Beth Shemesh, Israel, donated by David Dunn, class of 1935. The Beth Shemesh artifacts, ceramics and artifacts from the Canaanite hill town in the British Mandate of Palestine were brought back from a 1930s dig by excavation team leader and Haverford professor of Biblical Literature, Elihu Grant.
