Description: Cast of a fragment of a plaque with the Virgin and Apostles witnessing the Ascension after the original in the Hessisches Landesmuseum, Darmstadt, Inv. No. Kg 54:217, old no. 886; formerly the Royal Museum, Darmstadt. Description: "The Virgin and Apostles standing looking upwards with upraised hands, evidently portion of the scene of the Ascension of Jesus Christ. The draperies are arranged in numerous small folds, shallowly incised, and the attitudes, except of the front apostle, are very constrained." (Westwood p. 156)
