Description: Cast of a chess king crowned and seated in chair after the original in the British Museum, BM 80(?) (one of 79-83). Description: "A king without a beard, crowned, seated, holding a sword in its scabbard across his knees, his hair in four plaits hanging down his back; the top of his chair terminates at each side in dogs’ heads, and the back is ornamented with an elegant foliated arabesque." (Westwood p. 283)
