The neck of the vessel is raised slightly above an oval body. The oinochoe has a plain, barely articulated flat base, slightly hollow underneath. The entire vessel is covered in black glaze except for the red-figure decoration on the front of the body and the reserved facia of the foot. In some places, the black glaze is applied too thinly. Miltos is heavily applied over reserved areas. On the front of the vessel, the shoulder is decorated with red-figure tongues with dots. There is a plain, reserved groundline under the figures which include an athlete between two mantled youths. In the center, a nude youth holds up strigel in his right hand, his left hand is at his waist, palm up. Two mantled youths frame the athlete, reaching in toward him. The mantled figure on the right wears a garment with a dark boarder at the neck. Contour drawing is not in relief. Inner details are drawn with relief lines only.
