On the interior of the plate are three double rings: 2.7-3.0 cm, 4.6-5.0 and 6.3-6.5 cm in diameter respectively. There is rouletting between the middle and outer double rings. At the base of the wall is an offset 8.8 cm in diameter. There are a series of raised grooves on the foot of the plate. The potter’s stamp reads “AV(in ligature)ILL” in planta pedis. The potter’s name is Avillius.
